Spin Session at the Big Easy

All jazz fans out there, we have got just the right slot for you! Welcome to a place where jazz jam sessions and bourbon never end. The best place in the US and maybe in the entire world, the Big Easy. But tonight we won't be strolling around the French Quarter looking for some music and some booze. Instead, we’ll stay at home spinning the reels for some wins, as now we may visit the Big Easy right from the comfort of our homes.

The slot is a typical 5-reeler. There are twenty fixed lines to play on. The main goal of this slot is just like in any other slot: win money! To get some cash, all you need is to land a combination of identical tiles on the lines. Some combinations may consist of two icons only, others require at least three tiles to count. But all the combos have to start on the far left reel.

All the tiles at The Big Easy remind us of that wonderful place. So on the reels we would see all the best things New Orleans are famous for. Five Concert Tickets or Bourbons are paid 50x. The combination of five Lobsters is worth 100x. Five Bourbon Street signs are paid 150x.

Five icons with Street views will be paid 175x for the max combo. A tile with a Saxophone will be paid 200x when it comes in a combination of five. And finally, the Piano Keys icons are worth 250x for five and the Moon tile that is paid 400x for the maximum combination.

All aforementioned tiles are considered relatively low-paid. The rest are much juicier revenue-wise, and they come with a perk: their minimal combos start with just two tiles of one kind. The Trumpet Player tile is paid 500x for five, the minimal two-tiles combo doubles the bet.

The maximum combo of the Jazz Singer tile is 1,000x, and its minimal combination is paid only three times the bet. And the most expensive tile of the slot is its Logo. The five-tile combo will be paid 1,000x, and the two-tiles combination is worth 8x the bet.

As for the bonus features, they are quite standard at The Big Easy slot: substitutes, multipliers and free games. The substitute, or the Wild, is the tile with the slot’s logo. We have already mentioned it while describing the paysymbols.

Apart from being a paysymbol, it may replace any tile but the scatter so a winning combination could be formed. But that’s not all about the Logo-tile. It has one more superpower we all have to know about, as The Big Easy’s Wild triggers the free games.

To start the free-spinning, you have to land 3, 4 or 5 wilds on consecutive reels in one spin. The Big Easy free games feature is combined with a pick-me game. It makes it more interactive and entertaining actually, and we enjoyed it. First, you would have to pick a nightclub to determine the number of spins you will have.

If you have triggered the free mode with three wilds, then  you get to pick between 8, 10 and 15 spins. If there were four wilds that have triggered the game, you choose from 16, 18 and 20. And if you were lucky to hit five wilds, then you will choose between 22, 24 and 25. The choice is random here, so there is no way you can influence it: pick and see what you get.

After you have figured out the number of spins, you need to pick a multiplier that would apply to all of them. To pick it, you need to choose a musical instrument in the next interactive feature. For three wilds, your multipliers will be 2x, 3x and 4x. For four wilds, you may choose between 5x, 6x or 10x.

And for the max wilds combo, your multipliers will be either 7x, or 8x or 10x. The best about the free-games mode is that you may re-trigger it while spinning for free. The terms are the same: land at least three wilds on the consecutive reels.

Another bonus tile is the scatter. We have met it while describing the paytable as well, it’s the icon with the Moon. When you hit three, four or five Moon-tiles, the Moon picture on the icon will turn into the scatter sign and the combo will be paid for with some bonus cash. The total win with three scatters will be multiplied by 4. If you hit five scatters, the total win will get multiplied by 11. And five scatters will boost your spin bet 20x.

Despite some elaborate bonus features, the gameplay of the slot is rather simple. Take betting, for example, what can be easier?! Here, you don’t adjust anything, you just pick the amount of the total bet: from 20 to 40,000 and that is it! IGT believes in simple games. And by the look of The Big Easy, we understand why! It’s colorful, entertaining, and easy to spin. The perfect combo for a night out at the house!
